Keli Mini is a handmade creative studio focused on two things: making tiny air-clay creations, and teaching people how to make their own handmade miniatures.

Our story
It started with one tiny idea.
Keli Mini began with a simple love for tiny things — a little block of air-dry clay, a few brushes, and the joy of making something small enough to hold in your palm but full of personality.
Every piece is shaped, dried, painted and sealed by hand. No moulds, no factory, no two exactly alike. Each one is made to be kept, gifted and smiled at.
And because the most common question we hear is “how do you make these?”, we're preparing clay courses so you can make your own little world in miniature too.
We believe the smallest things can carry the most care. That is the whole idea.
The handmade process
Six slow steps, every single time
A simple piece takes around two hours of hands-on work spread over three to four days. A detailed one can take two full days.

Sketch
Every piece starts as a pencil doodle, drawn at real size so the proportions are right before any clay is touched.
- 02
Sculpt
Clay is conditioned, rolled and shaped by hand with fine tools. Small parts are joined while soft so they never come loose.
- 03
Dry
Pieces rest for 48–72 hours, turned regularly, so they dry evenly without cracks or warping.
- 04
Paint
Sanded smooth, then painted with water-based acrylics and blushed with chalk pastel using single-hair brushes.
- 05
Seal
Two coats of matte water-based sealant protect the colour and make each piece sturdy enough for everyday display.
- 06
Pack
Wrapped in tissue, cushioned in a rigid box, finished with a sticker and a handwritten note. Then off it goes.
Materials
What goes into every piece
Short list, carefully chosen.
Air-dry clay
A fine, lightweight clay that cures at room temperature. Non-toxic and smooth enough for tiny detail.
Water-based acrylics
Low-odour, artist-grade paints mixed into our own soft pastel palette.
Chalk pastels
Brushed on dry for the gentle blush on cheeks, ears and paws.
Matte sealant
A water-based protective varnish that keeps colours true without a plastic shine.
Clear resin (sparingly)
Only where it earns its place — the tea in a chai glass, the glaze on a tiny cake.
Recyclable packaging
Paper tissue, card boxes and paper tape. Bubble wrap only when the piece genuinely needs it.
Why air-dry clay
The quiet material we fell for
It is not the fanciest clay — it is the right one for tiny, gentle things.
No kiln, no furnace
It cures in ordinary air. That keeps our energy use low and means anyone can learn it at their kitchen table.
Detail at tiny scale
It holds fine texture — whiskers, stitches, crumbs — better than most craft materials at this size.
Light and gentle
Finished pieces weigh a few grams, which makes them lovely for keychains, charms and shipping safely.
Kind to beginners
It is forgiving, easy to clean up and non-toxic — the perfect first clay for our students.
